A couple of Viewsonic projectors (both of which had HDMI).In this grab bag was just what the spooky ghosts demanded. Ignoring the fact that I have stacks of technology from years of junk collecting (you build things, you have parts boxes, it’s a given), I also happened upon a lot of higher quality gear from liquidation (a long story told another time). But we hadn’t done it and it just so happened I had just the things to do this for basically no money, so let’s pull some stuff together shall we? Giant spiders and spider webs hanging from the second floor? You bet. We have smoke machines because Monica loves a good low fog. The kids are into dragons, so we have many a inflatable Halloween dragon. I don’t care about the theme as long as it’s fun. Candy is a kid currency, more valuable than actual money and significantly more tasty, and even they know it’s not worth the it. COVID’s ongoing rage and a good portion of people around us whom dismiss the basic mask wearing safety protocols have broken my kids. No I don’t know which one said which line, don’t try to change the subject. “It’s not worth the candy,” said the other. “We’re not going out there people are crazy Dad,” said one of the twins. The skeleton projections are both beautiful and fun.2020 has been its own horror film by any measure and the cancellation of trick-o-treating in some places was of little consequence at our house because my kids were not having it. This projection is part of “Spooky Shadows”, a set from AtmosFX that features several frightening projections, but also some whimsical skeleton ones. It’s a bit cartoonish, so it keeps the scary Halloween spirit without making little ones wet themselves with fright! Musical Skeletons It shows a smiling, but still spooky, jack-o-lantern with flames. The “Jack-o-lantern” is part of the same projection series and could also be a great choice for Most of which are also good Halloween projections for children! Get more scream for your green! The best part is that “The Eye” is not a single projection, it comes in a set of several Hallowindow creations including “Ghosts”, “Spiders”, and “Jack-o-lantern”. The fact that the image is a bit cartoonish and fun rather than terrifying makes it a perfect kid-friendly Halloween projection. “The Eye” projection is a great option for kids because it shows a large cartoon eye darting around the yard through your window. Also the ghostly cat is fun! Who doesn’t love a ghostly cat? The Eye and Jack-o-lantern Young kids will love this projection because the concept of an invisible man is a curious idea and will make them feel that spooky Halloween spirit without running away in terror. While still in the realm of Halloween, it’s not as frightening of some of the bloody zombie projections out there.
